Vermont Green FC: Maximilian Kissel interview on USL League Two title

Maximilian Kissel scored the game-winning goal in Vermont Green FC’s USL League Two championship over Ballard FC on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025.

Hailey Katona started the 2025 Vermont State Women’s Golf Association Amateur golf championship shooting a field-best 68 in the opening round on Monday, Aug. 4.

And Katona never looked back from her early mastery of Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester. The former Central Michigan golfer cruised to a third straight Amateur crown with a three-day tournament score of 9-over 219. Green Mountain National’s Katona, the first to three-peat since Madison Corley from 2013-15, followed up her 68 with 75 and 76 over the next two rounds.

Keely Culligan of Dorset and Burlington Country Club’s Carson Richards tied for runner-up, finishing 13 strokes behind Katona.

Katona sank three birdies and an eagle to seperate from the field during her opening-round 68.
