HERMISTON — The annual gala benefit for Stepping Stones Alliance will feature dinner, fundraising games and a live auction.
An Enchanted Garden is Saturday, Oct. 11, 6-10 p.m. at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road. Tickets are $50. In addition, the event will include program updates.
Founded in 2020, the mission of Stepping Stones Alliance is to provide individuals experiencing homelessness with basic needs and supports that can lead to stability. In addition to the nightly shelter facility, it partners with local municipalities through PATH — Practical Assistance through Transitional Housing — in providing resources and services to assist individuals in establishing self-reliance and housing independence.
Also, Stepping Stones is looking to restock its supplies. Community members are invited to pick up a few extra items while grocery shopping; current needs include milk, coffee, creamer, hot cocoa packets, sugar, cereal, travel-size deodorant, personal wipes and throat lozenges.
Stepping Stones regularly posts its current grocery needs and wish lists on its Facebook page via bit.ly/48AM3Q4. Donations can be dropped off daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 81535 Lind Road, Hermiston.
