Before breaking down the latest with the NASCAR playoffs as they head to Martinsville, the guys discuss the 2027 Daytona 500 date announcement.

  • William Byron won the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway to advance to the NASCAR Championship 4.
  • Kyle Larson also advanced to the championship race by securing the final spot based on points.
  • Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, and Joey Logano were eliminated from the playoffs.

Norman native Christopher Bell will have to wait another year for a shot at his first NASCAR Cup championship.

William Bryon outdueled Ryan Blaney on a late-race restart Sunday to take the checkered flag and advance to the NASCAR Championship 4. Byron swept all three stages and led more than 300 laps in the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

Kyle Larson secured the other spot on points, with a 7-point advantage on Bell for fourth in the points standings. Larson and Byron join Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin the Championship 4, with the championship race next week at Phoenix.

Bell, Blaney, Chase Elliott and Joey Logano were eliminated at Martinsville.
