BURLINGTON, Vt. — Boston College traded goals and mounted a late comeback attempt, but a pair of third-period tallies by Vermont proved decisive as the Eagles fell 4-3 on Friday morning at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Vermont opened the scoring at 14:58 of the first period before Ava Thomas answered at 17:53 off a feed from Sammy Taber to send the game to the intermission tied 1–1. Lauren Glaser put BC in front 2–1 at 4:06 of the second on helpers from Kate Ham and Jaime Griswold, but the Catamounts equalized at 16:17.

The Catamounts seized momentum with a power-play goal at 1:59 of the third and struck again at 4:18—six-skater pressure on a delayed penalty that stood up as the game-winner. Maxim Tremblay pulled BC within one with a power-play tally at 15:04 from Emma Conner and Madelyn Murphy, but the Eagles’ late push came up short.

Grace Campbell turned aside 33 shots, including 24 over the first two periods. BC finished 1-for-3 on the power play while Vermont went 1-for-4.
