STORRS, Conn. – No. 9 UConn women’s hockey (8-3-1) is set to host the Vermont Catamounts for a two-game series this weekend at the Toscano Family Ice Forum. The series will begin on Friday, November 21 at 6:00pm. The series will conclude on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00pm. All games will be streamed onESPN+.  TICKETS

Last time out, UConn split a two-game series against Boston College. The Huskies won the first game at Conte Forum, 3-1. The Eagles beat the Huskies, 2-1 in Storrs the following day on a last second goal, handing UConn their first loss in Hockey East play this season, putting the Huskies at 3-1. Prior to the loss, the Huskies were in the midst of a four-game winning streak and eight-game unbeaten streak. UConn has been led this season by their senior captain Kyle Josifovic with six goals and six assists, totaling 12 points. Josifovic has recorded points in three of her last four games. 

A Look at Vermont 

The Vermont Catamounts (5-7-2) are coming off a series split against New Hampshire last weekend. Vermont is off to a 2-3-1 start in Hockey East play this season. The Catamounts are coached by Jim Plumer entering his 14th season in Burlington. Vermont was voted to finish in seventh place in the Hockey East Preseason Coaches’ Poll. This season, the Catamounts have been led by a pair of junior forwards in Kaylee Lewis and Stella Retrum, each with nine points. 

Series History

UConn swept all three games from Vermont a season ago in the regular season, winning each game by one goal. The three-game sweep marked the first in the series history since the 2015-16 season, and sixth total time the Huskies have swept the regular season series from the Catamounts. UConn leads the all-time series 36-16-8.

Parking: $10 cash only parking in I-Lot (Lots surrounding Toscano Family Ice Forum).

Access: Doors open at 5:00pm on Friday and 1:00pm on Saturday.  

Promotions: $2 Miller Lite Night on Friday (while supplies last). Huskies and Heroes will be on Saturday. Show your Military or Veteran ID at the box office for free admission.
