Before the pros, even collegiate, comes the preps.
High school basketball is peaking during the win-or-go-home formatted California Interscholastic Federation state basketball championships.
Soon there will be one school crowned as the top basketball program in their division as they hold up that prized pendant and wave that CIF championship banner.
There are seven total divisions in CIF basketball: Division I, Division II, Division III, Division IV, Division V, Division VI and Open Division.
The CIF championship games for Division I, Division II, Division III, Division IV, Division V and Open Division will be held March 13-14 at Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento.
The basketball championships for Division VI is March 10 at 7 p.m. local time for girls and boys. Each game will be played at the the host sites.
All 12 games will be televised live by Spectrum Networks, according to the CIF.

Boys
- 2026 CIF State Boys Basketball Championships – Division V: Noon
- 2026 CIF State Boys Basketball Championships – Division III: 4 p.m.
