NY Red Bulls host New England Revolution at the Sports Illustrated Stadium for the 2026 Home Opener on Saturday, February 28.

Last weekend, the Red Bulls kicked off the 2026 MLS season with a strong 2-1 win over Orlando City. Julian Hall gave NYRB an early lead in the eighth minute, and the 17-year-old forward scored another in the 40th minute, making it 2-0 before halftime. Michael Bradley’s men controlled the remainder of the game. However, the Lions pulled one back in the stoppage time when Thiago scored in the 96th minute, as the match finished 2-1.

On the other hand, New England began the 2026 MLS season with a disappointing 4-1 loss vs. Nashville. Sam Surridge gave the Coyotes an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute, and the 27-year-old English striker went on to double the advantage in the 16th minute. Ex-Benfica midfielder Hany Mukhtar then made it 3-0 for Nashville in the 39th minute.

Lionel Messi‘s former Inter Miami teammate, Leonardo Campana, attempted to bring the Revs back in the game with a goal in the 47th minute, but it proved only to be a consolation. Nashville’s Warren Madrigal struck two minutes later in the 49th minute to seal a 4–1 victory for his side.
