Jordan Love talks about the 2026 Green Bay Charity Softball Game
Packers quarterback Jordan Love talks about this year’s Green Bay Charity Softball Game, which will be held June 5 at Neuroscience Group Field.
- Jordan Love and Micah Parsons will co-host a charity softball game June 5 in Grand Chute.
- The game will feature the Packers’ offense, led by Love, against the defense, led by Parsons.
- Proceeds from the event will benefit the foundations of both Love and Parsons.
- Tickets are available for the game, which will also feature a home run derby and an appearance by Donald Driver.
Jordan Love delivered a not-so-subtle message to Micah Parsons on March 25.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback warned his superstar teammate on the other side of the ball exactly what to expect at this year’s Green Bay Charity Softball Game presented by Network Health.
“I say Micah, you’re going down,” Love said during a media session to promote the event. “I know we’re teammates now, but on June 5 we are definitely going to be opponents and defense is going down man. Offense is going to be coming home with this belt right here.”
Love will lead the offense in the annual charity game June 5 at Neuroscience Group Field in Grand Chute, while Parsons – who was acquired by the Packers in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys last August – joins as co-host this year and will lead the defense.
A home run derby will be held at 6 p.m. with the charity game scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. The parking lot will open at 4 p.m. with the stadium gates set to open at 5 p.m.
The event will raise money for Love’s Hands of 10ve Foundation and Parsons’ The Lion Heart Foundation. Sponsors of the game include Bergstrom Automotive and Capital Credit Union.
While Parsons is unlikely to do much on the field in the charity game as he recovers from a torn ACL, Love is nonetheless happy to have his teammate join him as co-host.
“I think he’ll be a great addition,” Love said. “Obviously, we know what type of player Micah is on the football field, a phenomenal player. I don’t know exactly what his status will be playing-wise, but I know he’s a competitor. He’d love to be out there and showcase his softball skills and have fun, talk a little smack during it and make it a great event.”
Love then threw another dagger Parsons’ way.
“The defense, you know, they talk a big game, but I don’t think they can back it up,” Love said.
Tickets for the game are available for purchase on the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers website, by phone at 920-733-4152 or at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers box office. The game’s event producer is Team Lammi, a Milwaukee sports marketing and entertainment agency.
Packers legend and “Dancing with the Stars” champion Donald Driver, who hosted the charity softball event for several years before turning it over to Love last year, also will be at this year’s game and interacting with fans.
Last year’s game, which was a 6-4 victory for the offense, was the 25th anniversary of the popular charity contest and that’s something Love doesn’t take for granted as the new steward of the event.
“Wisconsin is the only place that might have a turnout like this for a softball game in June with football players playing in it,” Love said. “Fans are lined up on the fence when we arrive a couple hours early to be able to get some autographs, take some pictures. It’s all about the love and support we have out here in Wisconsin from our fans who love the Packers. So it’s very cool.
“It’s just a cool event to be able to interact with the fans and be a little bit more lighthearted than, you know, training camp and game days are for us.”
