New England Revolution host Chicago Fire FC at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough in a Major League Soccer regular-season fixture with genuine playoff implications for both sides in the Eastern Conference.
Marko Mitrovic’s Revolution come into this match sitting third in the East, but their recent form has been uneven. Back-to-back defeats to Seattle Sounders FC and Real Salt Lake have disrupted what had been a strong run, and the home side will be looking to respond in front of their own supporters.
Chicago Fire arrive under Gregg Berhalter having put together a solid mid-season stretch. Three wins from their last five — including victories over New York City FC and Vancouver Whitecaps — have kept them fourth in the Eastern Conference and firmly inside the playoff places.
The Fire’s form has not been without its setbacks. A 3-1 defeat to Philadelphia Union in their most recent outing will have tempered some of the confidence built during that positive run, and Berhalter’s side arrive needing to bounce back on the road.
These two clubs have met five times across all competitions in recent years, producing a series that has swung in both directions. The last encounter, played in September 2026, ended 2-1 to New England at Soldier Field — a result that adds an extra edge to this rematch at Gillette.

How to watch on the Big Screen
Watching on your phone or laptop is fine, but live sports belongs on the big screen. Here is how to get the VPN working on your TV:
- Smart TVs & Fire Stick: Most Android-based TVs and devices like the Amazon Fire TV Stick or Google Chromecast with Google TV have native VPN apps. Simply search for your VPN provider in the app store on your TV, log in, and connect just like you would on your phone.
- Apple TV, Roku & Consoles: These devices often don’t support direct VPN apps. The easiest workaround is to use Smart DNS (usually found in your VPN account settings) or Mirror/Cast the stream from your VPN-connected phone or laptop to your TV.
