Charlotte Flair Hints at Acquiring the Women’s World Title After Naomi’s Iconic Money in the Bank Cash-In at Evolution 2

Evolution 2 proved to be a banger, and it is safe to say that the company’s decision to put Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky last on the card paid off. For almost 25 minutes, the two veterans kept the high-paced action going with big moves piled up one after the other. Moreover, WWE has constantly pushed the storyline of Ripley never getting the better of Sky, and so ‘Mami’ was hellbent on destroying the Women’s World Champion and slaying her for good. In the dying moments of the match, Sky accidentally missle drop-kicked the referee with Ripley scoring a visual pinfall. However, the carnage continued outside the ring, where Sky executed a beautiful cross-body. The duo returned to the ring, and with the referee once again in motion, Sky connected with the moonsault for a razor-close kickout. While the two wrestlers lay on the floor, Naomi entered the fray for vengeance!

Charlotte Flair Shares Naomi Holding the World Title on X

The Women’s Money in the Bank contract winner ran to the ring to capitalise and immediately hit Sky with her finishing move to win the gold. And it seems that the veteran members of the locker room have taken notice. Among the first to subtly congratulate Naomi on her victory was Charlotte Flair. The 14-time Women’s Champion took to her X account to post Naomi’s picture holding her newly won Women’s World title. However, it could also mean that Naomi is next on The Queen’s hit list, as she has been looking to win her 15th title for a long time. Despite losing to Jade Cargill earlier in the night in a No Holds Barred bout, Naomi took advantage to claim the belt for herself. Many fans were bummed to see the new World Champion taking a second consecutive loss to Cargill this year. However, what followed in the main event was comparable to the ending of WrestleMania 31 when Seth Rollins cashed in his briefcase to beat Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. In the same way, Naomi also capitalized by making a singles contest a triple threat and pinning the champ to etch her name in the history books. Naomi has consistently been the workhorse of the women’s division, and fans are certainly delighted to witness the veteran win her 3rd Women’s title in the WWE. For the unversed, Naomi turned heel earlier this year in February and was revealed to be the one who attacked Cargill. And with the switch, she brought in a new wave of emotion to her character, and although she lost at WrestleMania 41, her push for the Money in the Bank win was built strongly. Now heading into SummerSlam, it will be interesting to see her feud with both Ripley and Sky for the gold.
