The University of Vermont Health Network, based in Burlington, has named Richard Page, MD, as its inaugural chief medical affairs officer.

Dr. Page will continue serving as dean of the university’s college of medicine, where he oversees more than 1,000 faculty members and nearly $100 million in research awards, according to a Sept. 12 news release from the University of Vermont.

In the new role, Dr. Page will focus on strengthening “cross-institutional collaboration” between the university and the health system, the release said.
