Market 32 and Price Chopper are partnering with the Vermont Principals’ Association to launch the first-ever food drive state championship.

Throughout the school year, high schools across Vermont will compete to collect the most nonperishable food items. All donations will go to local food banks and pantries.

Four divisional champions and one overall winner will be crowned as “state champs.” Winning schools will receive gift cards, a banner to display in their gym, and bragging rights.

Organizers said it’s a fun way to turn school spirit into community impact while helping neighbors in need.
