Champlain College Women in Cyber Summit 2025, October 24

Vermont Business Magazine From high school students to seasoned professionals, the free Women in Cyber Summit features sessions about cybersecurity as a career, how to pursue a degree and enter the field, and lets you connect with other professionals.

Champlain College and our Women in Cybersecurity Leadership Council is hosting the Women in Cyber Summit 2025 on October 24 @ 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. This event is designed for a diverse audience, from high school students to seasoned professionals. If you want to learn more about cybersecurity, pursue a degree, enter the field, or connect with other professionals, this summit is for you.

Attendees will also get to hear from:

  • Diana Kelley at Project AI as Keynote – New
  • Leah Bogdanowicz at FBI – Returning
  • Adam Gamelin at CISA – New
  • Mariam Khader at Champlain with Champlain Students – workshop (From Phone to Courtroom: Mobile Forensics in Digital Justice) – Returning
  • Emily Crawford at NuHarbor – New
  • Mackenzie Marsocci at Hurricane Labs – New
  • Charity Clark, Vermont State Attorney – Returning

 

Participants will also get to experience the following presentations:

  • “AI Security Overview” with Keynote Speaker, Diana Kelley, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Noma Security, and WiCyS Board of Director
  • “What’s at Stake: Cybersecurity and Data Privacy for Women and Girls Today” with the Vermont State Attorney General Charity Clark
  • “FBI Insights: An Agent’s Journey and the Cyber Threat Landscape in Vermont” with Leah Bogdanowicz, Special Agent, FBI Cybersecurity Division
  • “Decoding Cyber Careers”, a panel of Champlain College Alumni including Mackenzie Marsocci (Hurricane Labs), Molly Shapiro (Wawa), and Emily Crawford (NuHarbor Security)
  • “Shoot for the Stars, Secure the Future” with Kristin Hayes, Lecturer of Cybersecurity at Norwich University
  • Hands-on workshops hosted by Champlain faculty and students, specifically designed for high school students in Champlain’s state-of-the-art Cyber Range.
  • “The Breach is Widening: Can We Patch The Future?” with Valecia Stocchetti, ‘24, Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, Center for Internet Security
