Jukebox Bingo will rock Chesterfield Township on Oct. 10, bringing a full-filled night with a good beat and the added benefit of assisting the American Cancer Society.

The Jukebox Bingo event will be held at the Motor Cafe, located at 33151 23 Mile Road. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and play begins at 7 p.m. The cost to attend is $20 per person. Tickets can be obtained by contacting 586-354-5975 or 586-322-9631. Seating is limited to 100 people.

Northeast Macomb Relay For Life Survivor Chairperson Bridget Kowalik is a co-organizer of the Jukebox Bingo event. She said the Oct. 10 event is the first time that Relay For Life of Northeast Macomb has held a Jukebox Bingo event.

“It’s something that we saw and one of us participated in. We thought it would be a fun and nice way to get everybody together for a nice night out, laughing and singing,” Kowalik said.

The game presents a unique twist on standard bingo rules, as it will involve participants listening to a song clip rather than numbers read by a caller. They will use their knowledge of music to name the tune, and check their bingo cards for the matching song title.

“A person up front plays a song. They only play 30 seconds of a song. You have to know the song title. If the song title is on your card, you mark that. So it is a little different bingo in the sense that there are songs instead of letters and numbers,” Kowalik said.

She also said the game strives to include multiple genres of music from multiple eras, which will allow family-friendly participation from kids to adults. Those who attend the event can also participate in raffles by purchasing raffle tickets for a 50/50 and basket raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society cause. Food and drinks can be purchased from the cafe.

Jukebox Bingo will benefit Relay For Life of Northeast Macomb teams, fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Those who attend Jukebox Bingo and name a specific Relay For Life of Northeast Macomb team or team member as the one that encouraged them to attend, can earn credit for that team, Kowalik said.

“It supports Relay as a whole. It is an all team fundraiser,” Kowalik said.

Relay For Life is a walking event hosted by the American Cancer Society. Led by volunteers, Relay For Life fundraises for cancer research and awareness. Teams and individuals often fundraise year-round for the event.

On specific relay dates, the Relay teams and individuals come together to walk around a track or path in a festive atmosphere of games, food, music and activities. Relay For Life offers opportunities to honor cancer survivors, remember those who have died from cancer, and fundraise to support cancer research and treatment. The 2025 Relay For Life of Northeast Macomb will be held on June 6 from noon to 10 p.m. at Anchor Bay Middle School North in New Baltimore. The fundraising goal is $100,000.
