There’s not a lot happening for the Orange Olympic sports but we have some post-season accolades to update from the Fall.

Field Hockey:

Bo van Kempen was named NFHCA Mideast Regional Player of the Year and now is a candidate for National Player of the Year, which will be announced later this week. The NFHCA will announce its Division I All-America teams tomorrow, so we’ll follow up after those selections.

Cross Country:

Orange Head Coach Brien Bell was named ACC Coach of the Year after guiding the men’s team to a 4th-place NCAA finish this season. Sam Lawler and Peter Walsdorf earned All-America honors.

Rowing:

Six Syracuse women’s rowers have received invitations to national team camps. Rosie Turnbull, Minaya Bishop and Bronte Cullen were invited to Australia’s U23 camp, while Ella McKinley (Canada), Ellie-Kate Hutchinson (Great Britain) and Mackenzie Tuffin (New Zealand) will be in their respective country’s Senior Team Camp.

The Orange open the 2026 season on March 28th at the Doc Hosea Invitational in New Jersey.
