Montpelier brings a 4-2 overall record and an unblemished 2-0 mark in Vermont Capital Basketball League play to Griffith Gymnasium on Tuesday night for a conference showdown with Harwood.
The Solons, coached by Nick Foster, face a Highlanders squad that enters 3-1 overall but 1-1 in league action under head coach Jay Bellows.
The programs will meet again in early February when Montpelier hosts the rematch, but Tuesday’s game in Moretown offers the Highlanders a chance to get above .500 in conference play while the Solons look to maintain their perfect league start.
Opening tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Monday, January 12 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
