The Los Angeles Lakers and the rest of the sports world took to social media to honor the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi, six years after their tragic deaths.

Kobe and Gigi Bryant were among the nine people who died in a helicopter crash after departing from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, to travel to a basketball game at Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks in 2020.

Kobe Bryant spent his entire NBA career with the Lakers, winning five championships. He was named to the All-Star Game 18 times and he earned NBA MVP honors in 2008. He will forever be remembered as one of the greatest players of all time.
