The Vermont teams for the 2026 Twin State Lions Cup soccer games, the 51st incarnation of the event, were recently announced.
The annual all-star contests, which pit the best recently-graduated boys and girls soccer players from Vermont against their New Hampshire counterparts, take place on Saturday, July 18 in Hanover, New Hampshire.
The Vermont girls team will be coached by Fair Haven girls soccer coach Teri Perry, who served as an assistant on last year’s Vermont team when her daughter Maddy was playing in the game. Perry will be assisted by one of her assistants from Fair Haven, Danielle Gray.
The Vermont goalkeepers are Rice’s Peyton Borick and Essex’s Emma Hodson.
The defenders are CVU’s Rachel Bialowoz, Oxbow’s Natalee Spear, Mount Anthony’s Ella Palisano, North Country’s Annabella Aiken, Milton’s Marlie Bushey and St. Johnsbury’s Addison Ely.
The midfielders are Windsor’s Kenzie Wescott, U-32’s Morgan Towne, Essex’s Hazel Fry, Mount Mansfield’s Sofia Randall, Vergennes’ Ashtin Stearns, Hartford’s Harper Traendly, Mount Mansfield’s Chloe DeJong, South Burlington’s Reese Gordon and CVU’s Reese Kingsbury.
The forwards are Brattleboro’s Reese Croutworst, Vergennes’ Ava Francis, Poultney’s Eme Silverman, Colchester’s Brinlee Gilfillan and Spaulding’s Sophie Guarriello. Last fall Guarriello broke the Crimson Tide’s single-season scoring record while leading her team to the Division I semifinals.
Silverman, who scored Poultney’s lone goal in its Division IV state title win against Winooski, is the first Poultney player selected to the Lions Cup in 25 years.
The Vermont boys team is being coached by former Green Mountain boys soccer coach Jake Walker, assisted by Springfield boys soccer coach Derek Graham.
The goalkeepers are Randolph’s Zane Cooper and Mount Mansfield’s Levi Causey.

Schutt, who began his high school career at MSJ and played the last two years at West Rutland, is just the fifth West Rutland player to be named to the Lions Cup.
New Hampshire captured the win in both games last year, taking the boys game 2-1 and the girls game 3-1.
