Things I’m thinking about while the coffee brews and the bagel is toasted.

The news from two New England colleges this week had to shake the very foundation of intercollegiate athletics in this part of the world.

Officials at Anna Maria College in Paxton announced on Thursday that the school would be closing at the end of the current semester. 

Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.
