Skeptics kicked up a fuss after Fox Sports released a World Cup ad this week that imagined the United States team as the champion. (Watch the video below.)

In the clip set to “The Impossible Dream,” American player Christian Pulisic scores the finals-clinching goal on a corner kick to shock the world and send the United States into pandemonium.

People celebrate in the streets and bars, Tom Brady cuts hair and Mike Eruzione, who scored the game-winning goal in the “Miracle on Ice” hockey victory over the Soviets in 1980, claps back at a nonbeliever in a bar.

“What, you don’t believe in miracles?” he sneers.

Some viewers don’t believe either. While the ad was well-received by many and gave at least one fan “chills,” the prospect of the 16th-ranked Americans capturing soccer’s most coveted title annoyed the doubters.

“Not even a miracle can help the USMNT win a world cup,” one viewer wrote. “They’d need all the refs on payroll lmao.”

The World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, begins on June 11.
