The NCAA soccer season is just around the corner, the America East have released their men’s preseason poll where the Binghamton Bearcats have been slotted into the six spot. The reigning national champion Vermont Catamounts were unanimously selected first and would take all seven first place votes.

Last year, Binghamton would finish with an 8-7-4 record overall and 2-3-2 in conference including a 1-1 draw against the defending national champs to close out the regular season. Binghamton would fall in the conference quarterfinals to UMBC in a 1-0 final.

Overall this past season the America East finished as the fifth best conference in the nation with the Bearcats ranked in the top 85.

Binghamton will open up their season on Thursday, August 21 when they take on Boston College. Their home opener will be the following Thursday, August 28 as they host Mount St. Mary’s.
