Vermont soccer couldn’t pull off the win on Tuesday, Sept. 9. But the reigning NCAA champion pulled off more late magic to draw level with Dartmouth at sold-out Virtue Field.

The Catamounts erased a two-goal deficit with a pair of header goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation, salvaging a 3-3 tie with the Big Green in a nonconference showdown.

On the same day it dropped from ninth to 13th in the United Soccer Coaches top-25 poll, Vermont avoided its first loss of 2025, moving to 3-0-3 during the middle game of a four-game homestand.

Philipp Kuehn (76th minute) and Maximilian Kissel (86th minute) provided the late tallies for the Catamounts. Per NCAA rules, teams do not play overtime during the regular season.

Eidur Baldvinsson scored twice and Trenton Blake had the other goal for Dartmouth (0-1-2). Niklas Herceg made one save in the Vermont net.
