Dor Turgeman made his Revolution debut, coming on as a second-half substitute, and nearly immediately jumpstarted the sluggish offense.

New England scored twice three minutes apart midway through the second half in a 2-0 win over Atlanta United at Gillette Stadium.

The Revolution (9-15-8, 35 points) snapped a four-game winless skid and won their first home game since August 9.

New England acquired the Israeli international from Maccabi Tel Aviv last month through Major League Soccer’s U22 Initiative, signing him to a contract through 2028 with a club option for ’29.

Turgeman entered the game in the 56th minute, replacing Tomás Chancalay. Sixteen minutes later, he opened the scoring on a counterattack. Turgeman took a pass from Carles Gil, broke his defender down at the top of the box, and delivered a shot into the bottom right corner of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Three minutes later, Turgeman received an outlet pass from goalkeeper Matt Turner and went nearly the length of the field, before picking out Leo Campana, who deftly chipped in his seventh goal of the season.

Turner made four saves to record his second clean sheet in eight starts.

The Revolution have two games remaining in the season, at Inter Miami next Saturday and at home against Chicago on Oct. 18.
