In one week, the 2025 Vermont high school fall playoffs kick off. But before we wrap on the regular season, it’s time for one more power rankings update for girls soccer.
Is Champlain Valley still firmly at No. 1 following a 1-1 tie with Colchester? Did Windsor wrap its regular season with a perfect record? Read on below to see how this week’s top 10 order shook out.

The rankings (through 10/13):
1. Champlain Valley Union High School
Record: 11-0-1
Week 4 ranking: 1
▶ The Redhawks rolled past Burr and Burton before rallying for a 1-1 tie at home vs Colchester. CVU has a big final week (see Games to Watch below) as it chases a fourth straight unbeaten regular season.
2. Mount Mansfield Union High School
Record: 9-2-1
Week 4 ranking: 3
▶ With two big tilts ahead this week (see Games to Watch below), the Cougars are playing and riding a four-game unbeaten streak.
3. St. Johnsbury Academy
Record: 7-4-1
Week 4 ranking: 2
▶ Following a second-half rally at Burlington on Oct. 13, the Hilltoppers are 6-2-1 in their last 10 games.
4. Colchester High School
Record: 5-5-2
Week 4 ranking: 4
▶ Following a 2-1 loss to Mount Mansfield, the Lakers nearly dealt CVU its first defeat before settling for a 1-1 deadlock.
5. North Country Union High School
Record: 11-1
Week 4 ranking: 5
▶ The Falcons have won four in a row, outscoring opponents 19-1 in that span.
6. Stowe High School
Record: 10-2
Week 4 ranking: 6
▶ During a four-game winning streak, Stowe has racked up 19 goals.
7. Essex High School
Record: 5-6-1
Week 4 ranking: Bubble
▶ The Hornets return to the top 10 after blanking St. Johnsbury, 1-0, on the road and rolling past Rutland 6-1.

8. Rice Memorial High School
Record: 7-2-3
Week 4 ranking: 8
▶ Rice blanked Mount Abraham 2-0 and then battled Milton to a 1-1 draw on the road.
9. Windsor High School
Record: 14-0
Week 4 ranking: 9
▶ With their perfect regular season secure following a 2-1 win over Fair Haven on Oct. 13, the Yellow Jackets can focus on the playoffs and defending their Division III crown.
10. Harwood Union High School
Record: 7-3-2
Week 4 ranking: 10
▶ The Highlanders haven’t conceded a goal during a four-game unbeaten streak.

GAMES TO WATCH
Essex at Mount Mansfield, 4 p.m. Oct. 15: Mount Mansfield claimed the team’s first matchup in Essex for a 1-0 win.
North Country at Stowe, 4 p.m. Oct. 15: The top teams in the Capital Division square off.
Champlain Valley at St. Johnsbury, 6 p.m. Oct. 15: A big week starts on the road for the defending Division I champions.
Champlain Valley at Mount Mansfield, 10 a.m. Oct. 18: The Cougars aim for a regular-season split with CVU.
North Country at St. Johnsbury, 11 a.m. Oct. 18: Big test ahead of the playoffs for the Falcons, who moved into Division I at the start of the season.
