BURLINGTON, Vt.—Dartmouth field hockey fell to Vermont on Sunday afternoon by a score of 4-0.

The Catamounts opened the scoring just over seven minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead.

Neither team scored in the rest of the opening quarter, Lucia Campano was credited with the lone Dartmouth shot on goal in the frame. Ava Carlson made three saves in net for the Big Green.

Vermont scored just 1:26 into the second quarter to take a 2-0 lead. The Catamounts made it a 3-0 game with less than six minutes left in the second quarter.

Shots were 6-4 in favor of Vermont in the second quarter as Carlson made two saves and Dartmouth had a pair of shots on goal. Dartmouth earned three penalty corners in the frame.

With 1:03 left in the third quarter, Vermont took a 4-0 lead. Despite outshooting Vermont in the third quarter 4-2 the Big Green could not mount a comeback. Kylie McKinnley took over in net for Dartmouth had made one save in the third quarter. Dartmouth also had four penalty corners in the frame.

The fourth quarter saw just one shot and no goals as Dartmouth tallied the lone shot. The Big Green also earned the lone penalty corner of the frame.

Carlson made four saves in the first half for Dartmouth while McKinley had one save in the second half.

Ella Bowmna had a team high three shots while Olivia Galiotos, and Campano each had two shots. Gemma Franco added a shot as well for the Big Green. Campano and Walsh each had two shots on goal while Bowman and Galiotos had a shot on goal.

Dartmouth has three games remaining in the 2025 season with two of them coming next weekend in the state of New York. The Big Green square off with Cornell on Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 PM before taking on Colgate on Sunday, Oct. 26.
