It was a pretty chaotic Week 8 in college football, and we’re seeing some changes in the US LBM Coaches Poll as a result.

Notably, there’s a new No. 2 sitting behind Ohio State after Miami’s loss to Louisville on Friday night. The Indiana Hoosiers, who remain unbeaten, have taken that mantle. The rest of the top five is rounded out by a trio of SEC teams: Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia.

The latter beat Ole Miss, which fell just three spots to No. 8 after an eight-point loss. The Hurricanes also remain in the top 10, dropping to No. 9.

Miami was one of two teams to drop seven spots in this week’s rankings, along with Texas Tech, which lost its first game of the year against Arizona State and fell to No. 15 as a result. The biggest drop of the week, however, came from LSU.

The Tigers lost on the road to Vanderbilt, and as a result, they fell out of playoff position as they dropped nine spots from No. 10 to No. 19.

Three teams entered the rankings ahead of Week 9: Louisville, Michigan (after a dominant victory over Washington) and Arizona State. They replaced Memphis, USC and Utah, with the Tigers losing to an interim-led UAB squad while the Trojans and Utes lost rivalry games on the road to Notre Dame and BYU, respectively.

Here’s the full coaches poll after Week 8.
