PGA Tour golfers Chesson Hadley, Stephan Jaeger, Jason Kokrak, Martin Flores, Steve Wheatcroft and Richy Werenski will be joined by LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka at the Grayson Murray Classic on Monday.

The first-ever charity event will be played at Raleigh Country Club in North Carolina. There’s also a gala dinner that night at North Ridge Country Club. All proceeds will benefit the Grayson Murray Foundation, whose mission is to advance mental health and addiction care.

Grayson Murray plays his shot from the fourth tee during the first round of the 2024 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.

In January, Murray’s parents and family and friends held a celebration that included a Hawaiian blessing at Waialae Country Club in Oahu, Hawaii, one year after Murray won the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Four months later, Murray took his life during the week of the Charles Schwab Challenge after withdrawing from the event. He was 30. He won five times across the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour, and had spoken openly about his experiences with alcoholism, anxiety and depression prior to his passing.

Eric and Terry Murray, parents of the late Grayson, also launched of the Grayson Murray Foundation in their son’s honor.

“Grayson was a fierce competitor on the PGA Tour but also a friend to me and so many others. He was a generous person with a huge heart, and this event is a way for us to honor him while helping others who face similar battles,” said Hadley.

The golf event will be in Murray’s hometown of Raleigh, where Golf Channel personality Gary Williams and SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio host John Maginnes will broadcast their shows live.
