The New York Giants (2-10) and New England Patriots (10-2) meet for Monday Night Football at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Giants vs. Patriots odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.

The all-time series is tied 7-7, with the Giants winning the 2 most important meetings, both in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI. The last time these teams met was Nov. 26, 2023, a 10-7 win by the G-Men. The last meeting in Foxborough resulted in a 35-14 victory by the Patriots.

The Giants put up a good fight last Sunday at the Detroit Lions, but New York fell 34-27 in OT as a 14-point underdog. On Sunday, due to results elsewhere, the Giants were officially eliminated from the playoffs, although that was likely determined a while ago when offensive cornerstones WR Malik Nabers (knee) and RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) were lost for the season.

It seems like old times for the Patriots, who are currently in the No. 1 seed in the AFC thanks to a 9-game winning streak. QB Drake Maye threw for 294 yards and a TD, including 115 yards to TE Hunter Henry, who had the TD. CB Marcus Jones had a Pick-6, too. New England edged the Cincinnati Bengals 26-20 on the road last week, failing to cover as a 7.5-point favorite as the Under (51.5) cashed. The Patriots are 1-3 against the spread (ATS) in the past 4 games.

Giants at Patriots picks and predictions

Prediction

Patriots 29, Giants 16

AVOID.

The Patriots (-350) will set you back 3 1/2 times your potential return, and you can’t risk that much either as a singular wager, even with a boost or promo, nor as part of a multi-leg parlay.

Back the PATRIOTS -7 (-115) at home. It’s actually a little surprising that the Patriots aren’t laying a little more.

New England is jockeying for a top spot in the AFC, and it enters MNF tied with the Denver Broncos at 10-2, while holding tiebreakers. It can go into the bye a half-game up with a victory. There is little reason not to like the Patriots on Monday. The Giants are eliminated from the playoffs, they’re playing for an interim head coach, and they keep having tough injuries to dial back any progress. The future is bright for Big Blue, though, just not right now.

UNDER 46.5 (-110) is the play, but go with a half-unit play at best.

The Under has cashed in the past 2 games for the Patriots, averaging 26.5 points per game, while allowing 17.0 PPG. The resurgent defense is a huge part of New England’s success, as it has allowed 23 or fewer points in 10 straight outings.

The Giants have cashed the Over in 6 of the past 7 games, so be careful. The defense has allowed 27+ points in 5 of the previous 6 outings.
