Patriots plane is off to San Francisco

The Patriots plane took off from TF Green Airport on Sunday, Feb. 1, heading to the San Francisco area for Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.

Which team is Tom Brady rooting for this weekend: the New England Patriots or the Seattle Seahawks?

The answer might seem obvious since he won six Super Bowls with the Patriots, but he actually said on the “Let’s Go!” podcast that he’s not backing either team for the Feb. 8 NFL championship game.

“I really want to sit back as a fan and enjoy the game,” Brady said. “May the best team win.'”

The former star quarterback of the Patriots said that he cheers for people he personally knows at this point in his life and not for organizations. He stressed that who he thinks will win and which team is his favorite doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

“It’s going to be decided by the people out there on that field,” Brady said.

Is Tom Brady announcing the Super Bowl

Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt will not be announcing the Super Bowl for Fox this weekend, as Fox does not own the rights to the Super Bowl this year.

This year, the Super Bowl will be broadcast on NBC and can be watched on Peacock. The announcers of the Super Bowl will be Mike Tirico leading play-by-play commentary with sports analyst Cris Collinsworth. Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartung are set to be the sideline reporters.

When was the last time the Patriots were at the Super Bowl

The last time the Patriots were at the Super Bowl was in February of 2019 when they faced off against the Los Angeles Rams and won. Brady was the quarterback for that game.

The Patriots ultimately won against the Los Angeles with a score of 13 – 3 in the lowest scoring Super Bowl to date.

When was the last time the Patriots faced the Seahawks at the Super Bowl

The last time the Patriots faced the Seahawks at the Super Bowl was at Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1, 2015.

With 20 seconds left in the game, an interception by Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler would prevent the Seahawks from scoring. The Patriots would defeat the Seahawks with a score of 28 – 24.
