The Winter Olympics are in full swing in Italy, and athletes from 93 countries are competing in 16 disciplines across eight sports. With 116 medal events over 19 days, there is endless entertainment for viewers tuning in from Austin.

NBC is airing at least 12 hours of daytime coverage throughout the duration of the Games, with streaming available 24/7 on Peacock.

Events will take place throughout Northern Italy, including in Milan, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Livigno, Bormio, Anterselva/Antholz, Predazzo, Tesero and Verona.

Which sports are featured at the 2026 Winter Olympics?

The competition will include 16 disciplines across eight sports. Ski mountaineering is the newest addition to the lineup and the first sport added to the Winter Olympics since 2002.

Other events include: Alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, luge, Nordic combined skiing, short-track speed skating, skeleton sledding, ski jumping, snowboarding and speed skating.
