The annual VBCA Senior All-Star Games at Windsor High School celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of student-athletes, coaches, officials, and contributors from across the state.

Scholarship Recipients
Tristan Southworth Memorial Scholarship
Honors Hazen Union graduate and three-sport standout Tristan Southworth, who later served in the Vermont National Guard and gave his life in Afghanistan. A Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, Tristan was known for his character, leadership, and selflessness. This $750 scholarship is awarded to a student-athlete who represents their school and community with distinction.

Robert “Stretch” Gillam Memorial Award
Honors legendary coach Stretch Gillam, who won over 600 games during nearly 60 years of coaching and was inducted into both the VBCA and New England Basketball Hall of Fame. This $750 scholarship is awarded to a male student-athlete who loves the game, values defense, and exemplifies teamwork and sportsmanship.

Eric Ward Memorial Scholarship
Honors longtime Thetford Academy coach Eric Ward, who dedicated over 40 years to Vermont
basketball and led his program to multiple championships. Known for his care, leadership, and sportsmanship, this $550 scholarship is awarded to a female student-athlete who is a team player, displays strong character, and has a passion for defense.
