BROMLEY – Medals in the Mountains, a community fundraiser celebrating local Olympians and youth sports in Vermont, is scheduled for April 12 at Bromley Mountain, and will feature Winter Olympian and Vermont native Ben Ogden, and skiing legend Bill Koch.

Ogden, who captured two silver medals at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics — one in the men’s sprint classic and one in the team sprint — marking the first U.S. men’s cross-country Olympic medal in 50 years since Koch earned silver in 1976, will headline the event. Both men will join skiers on a cross-country course, followed by a meet-and-greet and autograph session with participants.

The community fundraiser will benefit SMST2, Mountain Towns Recreation (MTR), and the West River Sports Association (WRSA,) all organizations that support young athletes in the mountain communities here in Vermont.

The event will also feature live music from Brett Hughes and the Prickly Mountain Boys, as well as food trucks and more.

Medal in the Mountains will be held rain or shine. Gates open a 3 p.m. and donations are suggested.
