Alex Morgan thinks World Cup will ‘propel’ soccer in America

USWNT legend Alex Morgan shares her expectation for how soccer will be perceived by Americans. She also talks about her partnership with Mondelez.

Fox Sports has announced its full lineup of match commentators, reporters and rules analysts for the 2026 World Cup.

The network will deploy nine commentary duos, which will be led by John Strong on play-by-play and Stu Holden as a match analyst. The pair will be Fox’s lead broadcast booth for the third consecutive men’s World Cup.

Holden’s former U.S. teammate Landon Donovan will also return as a match analyst, pairing with play-by-play institution Ian Darke.

Fox also unveiled several reporters that will track the action, with Jenny Taft and Geoff Shreeves returning and a trio of new additions in Alex Aljoe, Katie Shanahan and Natalie Gedra.

Tom Rinaldi will also return as an at-large feature correspondent.

There will be two rules analysts, with former referees Dr. Joe Machnik and Mark Clattenburg returning to dissect any controversial decisions during games.

The World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, will feature 48 teams for the first time, meaning there will be a record 104 matches in the competition.

Of those matches, 70 will air on Fox’s broadcast channel with the other 34 to air on FS1. Every match will also be streaming live on Fox One and the Fox Sports App.

“The expansion of the tournament allowed us to go out and really build a dream roster of who we envisioned bringing Fox Sports’ FIFA World Cup 2026 to life,” said Brad Zager, Fox Sports president and executive producer.

“Together with the newly assembled international reporters, our 18 match announcers are incredibly well-balanced, and we can’t wait to have them voicing our coverage this summer.”
