The NFL released its 2026 schedule on Thursday night, giving fans and teams a full look at all 272 games, including broadcast networks, dates, and kickoff times.

FOX landed one of the season’s most intriguing matchups in Week 9 — and it will also mark the return of a franchise legend to his former home stadium.

Reports indicate that Tom Brady will return to Foxboro on Nov. 8 when the New England Patriots host the Green Bay Packers. While Brady will not take the field as the Patriots’ quarterback, he will call the game for FOX Sports.

FOX announced the news in an Instagram post that quickly generated buzz online. Brady has returned to Foxboro several times since leaving the Patriots after the 2019 season.

His first return came in 2021, when he led a vintage game-winning drive against his former team. The second came in 2024, when the Patriots inducted him into the franchise’s Ring of Honor.

Now, Brady will return to Foxboro for the first time as a broadcaster, taking his place in the booth at the stadium where he built his legacy. For many fans, Gillette Stadium remains synonymous with Brady and the Patriots dynasty.

Brady began his broadcasting career in 2024, one year after retiring from the NFL. Since then, he has served as FOX’s lead color commentator.

Before transitioning to broadcasting, Brady spent his final three NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won a Super Bowl in his first season with Tampa Bay in 2020 — the seventh championship of his career — and led the Buccaneers to two additional playoff appearances.

While Brady’s time in Tampa Bay added another impressive chapter to his career, his legacy remains firmly rooted in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

The Patriots selected Brady in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He eventually rose alongside Bill Belichick to form one of the greatest dynasties in sports history.

After Drew Bledsoe suffered an injury during Week 2 of the 2001 season, Brady stepped in and never looked back. He led the Patriots for the remainder of that season — and for the next 19 years.

Brady won six Super Bowls with New England and became the face of the NFL’s most dominant modern dynasty. It’s safe to say Patriots fans will give him a well-deserved welcome when he returns to Foxboro once again.
