MURFREESBORO — All TSSAA baseball state championship resumed play on May 22 and three championship games have been completed.

Richland knocked off Eagleville 11-6 in the Class 1A championship while Milan beat White House Heritage a 3-0 in the 2A championship. Crockett County finished off Greeneville in the 3A title game, 3-1.

Farragut and Houston started its 11 a.m. title game but was halted in the second inning and scheduled to resume at 4 p.m. at Oakland High School. But Oakland’s outfield was not in playing condition with three straight days of rain. Farragut and Houston have resumed play at Siegel High School.

Division I softball championship games have already been pushed to Saturday, May 23 and the sites have changed. There will be two sites for four Division I title games. Shelbyville Central and Riverdale high schools will host.

Shelbyville will host the Class 1A and 2A title games while Riverdale will host the 3A and 4A championships. The game times were originally scheduled for 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (CT) at both sites. But the Class 1A championship (between McEwen and Eagleville) will now be played at 3 p.m. (CT).

The DII-A title game was played on May 21 as Tipton-Rosemark knocked off Boyd Buchanan, 3-1.

The TSSAA changed the four baseball title game sites from its traditional Middle Tennessee State spot in favor of four separate sites at high schools across Murfreesboro and all four games began at 11 a.m. (CT).

The TSSAA anticipated the recent weather trend that has made the 2026 spring state championships a challenge as storms have rearranged schedules from baseball, softball and boys soccer to the state track championships in Knoxville since competition began May 19.

The TSSAA boys soccer championships in Class AAA finished with Ravenwood capturing a 1-0 win over Bearden. The Class A soccer championship just ended with Independence Academy capturing a 2-1 win over Gatlinburg-Pittman. The AA championship is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.

Division II-AA softball championship moved to Chattanooga

The lone softball championship game between Chattanooga Christian and Baylor was initially delayed on May 22. Within an hour it was moved from MTSU to Riverdale High School then it was postponed and moved to Chattanooga and will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday at Frost Stadium. Chattanooga Christian and Baylor are tied at 3-3 in the top of the sixth inning.
